At 13 years of age Jei plunged into the world of dance, and fell in love. He started dancing Rock’n’Roll, then a few years later - Ballroom and Latin American, which he began to teach at the tender age of 17 years. In his late teens Jei competed for 4 years in Open Rock’n’Roll and received the SA State Title at Le Classique for 2 years running, as well as an Australasian Title and an Oceanic Title. After going that far with his competing, Jei decided to branch out into hip-hop and funk and started teaching those alongside his other lessons.
Nowadays:
Jei prefers to get down and shake his groove thang with Salsa and Merengue. Having been appointed the teaching position for the Salsa Group Class at Dance Cats Studio - Jei’s aim is to get everybody moving and having some fun!
