Having been brought up in the world of ballroom dancing Shane began his competitive career at the age of 8 in Christchurch, New Zealand.
As an Adult he moved to Melbourne to further his dancing and trained with some of the top coaches in Australia which instilled in him a strong focus on posture, movement, technique and musicality.
Shane has a very relaxed and encouraging teaching style with a particular emphasis on ensuring that dancers understand how and why they should use their bodies to take their dancing to the next level.
Shane enjoys all three of the competitive styles, in particular Ballroom and New Vogue, and is very much looking forward to passing on his knowledge to Dance Cats' students in their preparation for the Out Games in 2008. Please contact the studio for bookings and/or enquiries.
